Walking the Walk for Earth Day: Vanguard’s Field Trip to Valor Carts!
At Vanguard Gifted Academy, we believe in celebrating Earth Day with purpose and action. This year, our students literally "walked the walk" by taking an eco-friendly stroll right down the road to visit one of Batavia’s most innovative local businesses: Valor Carts!
Valor Carts is an absolute gem in our community, specializing in premium, street-legal electric and solar-powered carts designed for everyday neighborhood driving, family adventures, and purposeful utility. We are so incredibly lucky to have a company right here in our backyard that is dedicated to a smarter, cleaner way to move.
Our visit was the perfect, hands-on extension of what our students have been learning in the classroom. We have been diving deep into the science behind solar power and renewable energy. Getting to see those concepts applied in real life—looking under the hood of these incredible electrified vehicles—really brought the science to life for our kids.
The field trip also tied perfectly into our recent studies on manufacturing and geography, where we’ve been exploring which products are made in which states. Seeing the design and building process of these luxury carts happen locally gave our students a wonderful perspective on the power of community-based industry and innovation.
We want to send a huge, cheering thank you to the team at Valor Carts! Not only are you an amazing resource for our town, but you are also inspiring the next generation of eco-conscious thinkers and engineers. Thank you for welcoming us and showing us what the future of everyday freedom looks like!
