Research, Invent, and Explore: The 2026 Innovation Odyssey Summer Camp
This summer, local students won’t just be learning about the world—they will be researching and inventing it. Vanguard Gifted Academy is excited to open enrollment for our 2026 Innovation Odyssey, a one-of-a-kind summer program that blends global cultural immersion with hands-on STREAM research.
Designed for curious and high-ability learners in grades K-8, the Innovation Odyssey moves beyond traditional childcare to offer a dynamic, individualized environment where students are encouraged to tackle "hard things" with confidence.
A Day in the Life of a Global Innovator
Our curriculum is intentionally designed to bridge the gap between academic research and creative execution. To ensure every child receives premium mentorship, we maintain a strict 1:8 teacher-to-student ratio, capping each session at just 20 students.
Morning: Micro-Science & Global Inquiry Each week, campers immerse themselves in a new global heritage. They will explore the engineering feats and languages of the Cherokee people, the Spanish-speaking world, the mathematical traditions of South Asia (Urdu), and the history of West Africa (Twi). Alongside this journey, students dive into "Exploding Nanoscience" using official Nanooze science magazines to research concepts too small to see but powerful enough to change the world. (And yes, they get to keep their magazines!)
Afternoon: STREAM & The Arts In the afternoons, research meets creativity. Students engage in hands-on STREAM (Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, and Math) projects—such as 3D printing and cultural design—that bring their morning inquiries to life. At Vanguard, we believe creative expression is a vital component of technological innovation.

We have structured our summer sessions to allow families time for mid-summer travel while still providing deep-dive enrichment:
Session 1: June 1 – June 30 (Full Month)
Mid-Summer Break: July 1 – July 17 (No Camp)
Session 2: July 20 – July 31 (Two Weeks)

Early Bird Rate: $350 per week (Ends March 31st)
Standard Rate: $400 per week (Starts April 1st)
The Smart Deposit Incentive: Families looking toward the 2026-2027 school year can take advantage of our unique incentive: families who enroll in the summer program will have 50% of their summer fees credited directly toward their Fall enrollment deposit.
