Empowering Gifted and 2e Minds: A STREAM-Based Approach to Science Integration

Vanguard Gifted Academy Head of School Amy Trujillo will be presenting at the 2026 Illinois Science Teaching Association (ISTA) Annual Conference!

In this featured session, Mrs. Trujillo will share practical strategies for engaging gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) learners through an integrated STREAM framework. Attendees will explore how combining Science, Technology, Reading/Research, Engineering, Art, and Math with structured Core Knowledge themes allows high-ability students to investigate real-world problems, troubleshoot creatively, and apply concepts across disciplines.
